ça va
Ça va ? means 'how are you?', and the easiest reply is ça va, 'I'm fine'. Same two words, question then answer. But French people don't always stop there. Ça va bien means good, ça va pas means not great, and on fait aller means you're coping. The dialogue below shows the honest version.

I'm totally wiped out. Work has been stressing me out lately, and I'm having trouble sleeping at night. I thought it would get better, but it's getting worse and worse.

How are you? How are you handling all this? Maybe you should step back and rest a bit.
Juliette
Managing somehow... but honestly, I think I need to get away for a few days.
